My only criticism would be the instep is tight, causing a blister. I ordered wide and it doesn’t seem wide. Beside that it’s a wonderful shoe, very well made and comfortable. This shoe is well made with good support. I ordered it for my elderly mother who needs a wide toe box and a shoe that is very easy to get on, without laces that can come untied. She liked the style better than some, as it appears a bit less clunky. Even with the velcro fully open, however, she still had trouble getting her foot into the shoe because of the heel construction. If she were able to use a shoe horn easily, it would have been ok, but she no longer has the coordination. Unfortunately, we are "back to the drawing board," searching for a shoe that will work for her. Had to return the shoes. :(I did not like this shoe as well as other shoes I have from SAS. Your toes could hit a ridge that was in the right shoe not left one. I should ave exchanged.I have struggled for years to find comfortable, supportive shoes that don't look like the orthopedic shoes my grandmother wore 65 years ago. My foot issues include bunions, flat feet, and over-pronation. A friend with similar issues told me that her doctor highly recommended SAS shoes. This is the most I've ever paid for a pair of shoes, and they are with every penny! I love the fact that they are made in the US. The leather is suple, and the innersole is very supportive. And they're stylish! Best. Shoes. Ever!they feel like a cheaper product n not sasI have the same shoe in black leather and bought this blue shoe in the same size. Thanks SAS for being faithful to the sizes. This pair of shoes is exactly what I wanted. The fit , quality, and styling are perfect.Wishing I had bought an 8 rather than my usual 7 1/2 in this shoe. It's not so tight that it won't stretch out, but a little snug now. The arch support is good and the sole provides good traction. Looks good on and not too much like an "orthopedic" shoe. This shoe is the most comfortable it fits perfect
