I love this mat! It’s super grippy, which I need for hot yoga classes. Fair warning- there is a STRONG rubber smell when you first open it, because it’s made of natural rubber materials. I let the mat air out in the garage/outside for a week before using. There is still a faint rubber smell to the mat, but nothing like when I first opened it. Super high quality, and I can tell it’s going to last!I've been practicing yoga for 10+ years off and on and will be doing yoga study soon so I wanted to invest in a really good mat that was eco-friendly.Pros:-Nonslip! Got sweaty hands and feet even just sitting in class before it starts? Get this mat! I'm the sweatiest person I know, and this is definitely a lifesaver for those downward facing dogs.-If you sweat, this color won't show it. Plus, it is somewhat waterproof. My sweat drops go splat and pool up so I wipe those in between my practice, but there is some moisture still on the mat. Still, significant upgrade from my other mats.-Eco-friendly!! I tried to throw away my old mats, but my garbage company wouldn't take them. Upon doing some research, it turns out that many, many yoga mats are not recyclable. As I try to live a more eco-friendly lifestyle, this has definitely become a friend in my practice.Cons:-It does smell...I mean, it is rubber, right? Here's a tip. Don't touch your face right away when showering because you will taste/smell strong rubber. I just wash my hands now before I hop in the shower.-I wish there were more designs to select from for this brand and price range. I'd especially love a mat with lines as I continue to get my footing right. The only thing I wish was that it was thicker. 4mm is thinner I have learned. That said, I am keeping it. It is an excellent mat for yoga. It provides superior grip. I know my hands are not going to slip in down dog.I already own the eKOlite travel yoga mat. I love it. It stayed in my gym bag in the car so it was always handy. It is COVID now. I took it out of my car to use in the house because my house yoga mat wasn’t nearly the same quality.I purchased this one after forgetting to put my travel one in the car when I went away. There were no brick and mortar stores that had a yoga mat. I tried using a towel to do yoga while away. It didn’t work well at all.I wanted another eKOlite mat because my travel mat is 2 years old and is still in great shape and the stickiness works like the first day I used it I do clean it but not nearly as much as I should. I also chose the eKOlite because it is eco friendly, made from biodegradable non-Amazon harvested natural tree rubber. Another factor in choosing is the length. I am 5’7 and the 68 inch mats work well enough but I wanted something a little longer. The 3 inches of what this provides is exactly what I needed. I also chose this because of its superior grip.It does have a natural rubber scent when first used. I remember this with my first one. It did last a bit of time for the odor to go away. It does go away though. The 4 mm thickness is dense. It is not soft. I was concerned about this with my knees at first. I laid out Another more plush yoga mat next to this one and alternated between the two to see the difference. What I realized was my knee sank to the floor on the plush one not really providing me with much padding anyhow. The eKO mat is very stable under me. It feels the same no matter what pose I am in.I tend to lean towards thinner mats and this one hits the spot. It has perfect density for decent padding and not overly thick for good groundfeel. Perfect balance of both imo. Replaced mine after 3 years of near daily use. Stood up terrific and is still super grippy, I just needed a freshie. It’s perfect for my everyday home practice. Beautiful color! This yoga mat was beautiful to the touch and would be great for travel, I ended up returning it because I wanted a little more thickness in the cushioning. If I traveled a out I would definitely use this one for on the go. I bought another from the same company but I got the non lite version.Such a good oneEasy to use,Strong smell that still hasn’t gone away a year later. It stains easily and gets dirty quick. On a positive note, it’s thick and gives a lot of cushion.Personally I wouldn’t buy again, as I prefer a lower maintenance mat with no smell - but if you’re looking for heavy and thick, you may like it.The EKO Lite is a good mat made from natural rubber and offers a good firm, cushiony grips. It also gets slippery when sweating during sessions. It's a good mat for few sessions a week, wouldn't use it on a day to day basis as the soft rubber would deteriorate in time, especially on the foot area. If you're looking for a heavy usage mat, than the PRO lite is a best choice. Otherwise, it's good for the occasional yoga session at home or to bring with you at the studio.Die Matte fühlt sich wertig an. Ist nicht zu dick, so dass man guten Halt hat. Länge passt auch. Farbe ist schön.This was a Gift that someone wanted me to purchase on their behalf - so I did not use this Yoga Mat.It did look very good.I’ve owned a few of these and it’s my go to mat.
